Assignment: Discuss the team formation criteria weights (Step 3 of 4)
- Due Sep 11, 2023 by 11:59pm
- Points 9
We want to progress toward consensus for how to weigh the team formation criteria. Toward this goal, in this assignment, you will discuss your insights for the weights that you entered in the initial team formation criteria survey in the course discussion forums. Once you have fully participated in the discussion, you must complete a second instance of the team formation criteria weight survey Links to an external site.. This is the only way we can track student participation.
You must post five or more messages in the discussion, each offering a substantive new message or reply. Direct your messages to the appropriate thread pre-populated for each criterion considered for team formation. The messages that you post should cover at least three different criteria and be spread out in time. The goal is to have a meaningful conversation with your peers. Advocate for the weights you feel strongly about. Convince others to agree with you or be convinced by them. Please include the specific weight you are arguing for/against in your message, if applicable.
You can review a summary of student selections for the weights by revisiting the initial survey Links to an external site.. You can review your own individual selections in the message that was previously e-mailed to you by the survey tool. Be especially attentive to criteria where 1) the weight you selected disagrees with the majority of your peers and 2) the distribution of the weights shows minimal agreement across all peers. These situations represent the criteria for which we are furthest away from consensus and need the most attention.
Of the 9 points total, 8 points will be allocated for the discussion and 1 point will be for the completion of the criteria survey. They survey will not open until the discussion period is near completion.
