M Oct. 25: Interaction Components (Kahoot! Game Show)

The format of this lecture will be a live interactive game show. Students must join live to receive credit. The game show quiz will not be available after lecture without an excused absence and there will be no video recording posted for this lecture. Students can join the live game show from any location (https://kahoot.it/ Links to an external site.). It is not required to be in the lecture room. Students will enter a PIN to join the game. Game play is individual. Include your netid in your nickname when entering the game so we can assign credit. I will show the game board on the screen in the lecture room and students can connect via Zoom (https://illinois.zoom.us/j/84782555721?pwd=T05KT0VwbEcyUE53dW5UUXMrMkRHQT09 Links to an external site.) to see the screen with an audio channel.
Review the lecture notes linked below and the assigned readings. The quiz is open notes. You will earn credit for the lecture workbook as a function of the total number of quiz questions (N=50) answered correctly. Receive 2 points (full credit) for 40+ / 50 correct, 1.5 points for 30+ correct, 1 point for 20+ correct, 0.5 points for 10+ correct.

2. Navigate to the Components

Quiz questions will cover high-level issues (i.e., you can skip the low-level details in all the readings).
