Over 50 new users and 500 trainings a year, since prior to 2004. That's over 900 thesis/dissertations. Until 2022, not a single lesson learned was documented for new users.
On behalf of MNMS, I sincerely apologize for our thoughtlessness.
We desperately want to learn from you!

“The material presented in this work was carried out by *engineer/scientist name here* within the Department of *Department* at the University of Illinois. It was provided in the spirit of cooperation to educate future generations of engineers and scientists.”
I would also really love to share a short "word of advice" from each contributor. Something like a more personal statement. I imagine things like “it’s meant to be hard. If it was easy, your PI would do it." We would also post these with either your name, or anonymous. I'll kick off the page myself, and hopefully future users will enjoy reading your thoughts.
