3.1 Assignments

Overview

In the Canvas framework, Assignments are learning activities--either graded or ungraded--that require students to complete tasks or take some action to solidify their learning. Assignments can play an important role in how students progress through your course; for instance, you can require students to complete an assignment before moving on to other learning activities (even if students will not receive feedback on the completed assignment). Additionally, you can differentiate assignments across course groups, as well as require peer feedback on submitted assignments. When it comes to creating and using assignments, Canvas offers considerable flexibility, thus allowing you to find the approach that works best for you and your students.
