3.2 Quizzes

Overview

The Quizzes tool allows you to easily create graded and ungraded quizzes, as well as surveys. In addition to implementing self-assessment quizzes, you may want to construct short surveys to gather student feedback on the design and usability of your course. Of course the Quizzes tool is also capable of creating complex exams using randomized questions and question sets. 

Important Note

While the Quizzes tool remains in use, Canvas recently began piloting a quiz platform called New Quizzes. This tool will offer several additional question types as well as convenient reports that provide insights into quiz results. However, the New Quizzes feature is currently in its beta phase and still has many accessibility issues. We recommend creating your quizzes using the Classic Quizzes.
