You are starting to understand the problems your target customers want to address along with the functional, social, and emotional benefits that will be needed for them to consider a new solution. The next step in your journey is to ensure that these target customers represent a viable market opportunity. Is your solution sufficiently differentiated from current competitors, alternatives, and substitutes that you can compete and win? Is the market growing, flat, or declining, and are there enough customers to make it financially viable for your business to serve them?
